Hydraulic valve adjustment

 

·        Warm up the motor.

 

bulletTake one valve cover off, start motor and begin at one end and back off a polylock slowly until it the lifter starts to make noise.

 

bulletWith your fingers (can use a socket w/o ratchet to make it easier to turn) leaving the setscrew loose start to tighten the polylock until it is quiet, you will feel the polylock just hit resistance.

 

bulletThen back it off a little until it starts to make noise again, repeat this step until the polylock quiets the lifter at the same place with the polylock.

 

bulletTake your allen wrench and regular wrench hold the polylock and spin down the setscrew until it just snug against the rocker stud.

 

 

bulletNow holding BOTH the allen and regular wrench together tighten them 1/8th to ¼ of a turn.

 

bulletMove to the next polylock.
